Says UP has undergone a 360-degree transformation over the past nine years and emerged as one of India's leading investment destinations

New Delhi, August 19: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invited Japanese companies to expand their industrial and business operations in the state, assuring investors of the government’s full support in creating a transparent, efficient and investment-friendly ecosystem.

“Today, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s leading and most promising investment destinations,” he said.

Yogi emphasised that the state government is committed to extending all possible support to investors and ensuring that businesses do not face unnecessary hurdles at any stage of the investment process.

He said the enthusiasm shown by industry leaders and corporate executives during the meeting reflected the increasing confidence of global investors in Uttar Pradesh’s economic potential. He also assured participants that the suggestions and recommendations put forward by investors had been taken seriously by the state government.

“The concerns and expectations of investors will be carefully examined, and every effort will be made to address practical challenges through appropriate policy interventions,” he said.

Highlighting the state’s demographic advantage, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh’s large youth population would become one of its greatest strengths. He noted that the government is focusing on skilling and upskilling programmes aligned with industry requirements to ensure the availability of a trained workforce.

He added that the state is continuously strengthening infrastructure, connectivity, skilled manpower and ease of doing business to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving industrial landscape.

According to the Chief Minister, investments in Uttar Pradesh would prove beneficial for businesses because of the state’s policy support, expanding infrastructure and improving industrial ecosystem.

He reiterated that the government is working to make investment procedures simpler, more transparent and time-bound, enabling entrepreneurs to focus on expanding their businesses rather than dealing with administrative obstacles.

Yogi also underscored the state’s implementation-driven approach, saying that the government believes in translating commitments into action rather than making announcements alone.

“The transformation witnessed in Uttar Pradesh over the past nine years is visible in areas such as law and order, connectivity, infrastructure, industrial development and investment-oriented policies,” he said.
