New Delhi, August 19: Uttar Pradesh is strengthening its strategic and economic partnership with Japan, with both sides exploring new opportunities for collaboration across key sectors, including green hydrogen, automobiles, advanced manufacturing, technology, innovation and healthcare.
Addressing the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 at Taj Palace, New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as one of India’s most promising investment destinations.

Khanna said that the growing participation of Japanese companies and institutions reflects the increasing confidence of Japan’s business community in Uttar Pradesh. He welcomed the Japanese delegation, including Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, and emphasised that the relationship between India and Japan continues to deepen, driven by shared values, common aspirations and mutual priorities.

He highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s key strengths, including robust law and order, improved connectivity, a vast consumer market, a skilled workforce, policy-driven governance and rapidly expanding infrastructure.
