The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Anurag Jain, a 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Jain’s appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge. He will serve for an overall period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, subject to the approved terms of his service.

Jain will take over the leadership of the government’s premier public policy think tank, playing a key role in policy formulation and supporting India’s long-term development priorities.
