Kavita Rakesh Satvi has been recommended for appointment as the next Director (Finance) of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways. The recommendation was made by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) during its selection meeting held on June 20, 2026.
Currently serving as General Manager and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Kamarajar Port Limited, Satvi brings more than two decades of experience in finance, infrastructure, logistics and port operations. Her selection is expected to strengthen the financial leadership of Konkan Railway as the organisation continues to focus on operational efficiency and infrastructure development.

The PESB selected Satvi for the position after interviewing a panel of candidates from leading public sector organisations. The selection process included senior executives from RITES Limited, Oil India Limited, ONGC Limited and NTPC Limited.

Extensive Experience in Finance and Infrastructure
Satvi is a seasoned finance professional with more than 23 years of experience across the logistics, ports and infrastructure sectors. Since August 2023, she has been serving as General Manager and CFO at Kamarajar Port Limited, where she has been involved in managing key financial and strategic functions.
Over the course of her career, she has held leadership roles at several prominent organisations, including:
- J M Baxi Group
- APM Terminals
- PSA Singapore
- Container Corporation of India (CONCOR)
- CONCOR Air Limited
Her expertise covers a wide range of areas such as corporate finance, budgeting, financial planning, taxation, compliance, audits, forecasting, business transformation and process automation.
Strong Academic and Professional Credentials
A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), Satvi has consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout her career. She secured the 33rd rank at the national level in the Chartered Accountancy Foundation examination and completed her Chartered Accountancy qualification on her first attempt.
She also holds an MBA from Deakin University, Australia, and a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from ACCA, United Kingdom.
