The Karnataka Government has issued a notification effecting the transfer and posting of several senior IAS officers across key departments and governance functions.
According to the notification, Anjum Parwez, IAS (KN: 1994), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Forest, Ecology & Environment Department, Bengaluru, in the existing vacancy.
Munish Moudgil, IAS (KN: 1998), Special Commissioner (Administration, Revenue and IT), Greater Bengaluru Authority, has been placed in concurrent charge of the post of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister (Programme and Project Implementation), Bengaluru, with immediate effect and until further orders.
Deepa Cholan, IAS (KN: 2008), Secretary to Government, Urban Development Department (UD & Municipalities), Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Government, Transport Department, Bengaluru.
Cauvery B.B., IAS (KN: 2008), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Secretary to Government, Urban Development Department (UD & Municipalities), Bengaluru.
Venkatesh M.V., IAS (KN: 2009), Secretary to Government, Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Registrar for Co-operative Societies, Bengaluru.
Selvamani R., IAS (KN: 2013), Managing Director, Karnataka Urban Water Supply & Drainage Board, Bengaluru, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety, Bengaluru.
The notification further stated that the post of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister (Programme and Project Implementation), Bengaluru, has been declared equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Principal Secretary to Government under the applicable service rules.
