The Karnataka government has issued an order reshuffling senior administrative positions, transferring Pankaj Kumar Pandey, IAS (KN:2000), and assigning additional charge to Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar V., IAS (KN:2010), with immediate effect.
According to the notification issued from Vidhana Soudha on January 30, 2026, Pandey has been transferred from the post of Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), and posted as Principal Secretary to the government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (e-Governance), Bengaluru. The posting will remain in force until further orders.
Pandey is a 2000-batch officer of the Karnataka cadre and has held a range of senior assignments in the state government over the years, including roles in infrastructure-linked departments and public sector undertakings. His tenure at KPTCL involved overseeing power transmission operations and administrative management of the state-owned utility.

Following his transfer, Ram Prasath Manohar V., a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been given concurrent charge as Managing Director, KPTCL, in addition to his current role as Chairman of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). The arrangement takes effect immediately and will continue until further orders.
Manohar has served in multiple administrative capacities in Karnataka, with experience in urban services and public utilities. As BWSSB Chairman, he has been associated with the management of Bengaluru’s water supply and sewerage operations, including institutional oversight and coordination with urban local bodies.
The order relieves Pandey of the additional charge of KPTCL and places Manohar in charge to ensure continuity in the functioning of the power transmission utility. The government stated that the changes form part of routine administrative arrangements aimed at maintaining operational continuity across key departments and state-run infrastructure agencies.
