Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for the Kutch and Saurashtra region on January 11 in Rajkot. The two-day conference will be held on January 11 and 12 at the Marwadi University campus, state agriculture minister and government spokesperson Jitu Vaghani said on Thursday.
The conference aims to present economic, industrial and cultural opportunities emerging across the Kutch and Saurashtra region. According to Jitu Vaghani, the Prime Minister will be in Rajkot on January 11 to inaugurate the second regional edition of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative focused on these regions. More than 6,000 participants have already registered, with delegates and business leaders from 21 countries expected to attend.
The first Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, covering north Gujarat, was held in October 2025. The state government has planned four regional conferences across different parts of Gujarat ahead of the 11th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, scheduled to be held in 2027. The previous edition of the summit took place in 2024, according to an official release.

During the Kutch and Saurashtra regional conference, the focus will be on presenting the region’s strengths, facilitating investment opportunities, and exploring global markets for local products. The conference and exhibition will be spread over an area of 26,400 square metres.
The two-day programme will include business-to-business and business-to-government meetings, an exhibition, sector-focused seminars, and reverse buyer-seller meets. Similar regional conferences for south Gujarat and central Gujarat are planned later this year.
