
In a significant administrative move, the Gujarat Government has ordered the transfer and reassignment of 13 IAS officers across various departments, aiming to streamline governance and improve administrative efficiency across critical sectors.
Senior-Level Restructuring in Top Departments

- Ashwani Kumar (IAS: 1997), currently Principal Secretary, Urban Development & Urban Housing, has been shifted to the Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department, while retaining additional charge of Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs.
- Ramesh Chand Meena (IAS: 1997), Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, has been entrusted with additional charge of the Ports and Transport Department.
- M Thennarasan (IAS: 2000), earlier Principal Secretary, Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Urban Development & Urban Housing, replacing Ashwani Kumar.
- Milind Shivaram Torawane (IAS: 2000), Managing Director, GSPC, Gandhinagar, will now serve as Principal Secretary, Panchayats, Rural Housing & Rural Development Department. He will also hold additional charge as Commissioner of Rural Development and Principal Secretary (Rural Development), continuing as MD, GSPC.
Mid-Level Appointments and Expansions

- Arti Kanwar (IAS: 2001), Secretary, Finance (Economic Affairs), has received additional charge as Secretary, Finance (Expenditure).
- Jenu Devan (IAS: 2006), Inspector General of Registration & Superintendent of Stamps, will additionally serve as MD, Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., Vadodara.
- Prabhav Joshi (IAS: 2014), currently Rajkot Collector, has been appointed MD, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd., Gandhinagar.
- Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar (IAS: 2016), MD, Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Ltd., is posted as Municipal Commissioner, Junagadh.
- Dr. Om Prakash (IAS: 2016), outgoing Junagadh Municipal Commissioner, has been appointed Rajkot Collector.
- Ashish Kumar (IAS: 2014), Collector, Panchmahals-Godhra, will now serve as Director, Tribal Development, Gandhinagar, with additional charge as CEO, D-SAG.

- Patil Anand Ashok (IAS: 2021), Project Administrator, Tribal Area Sub Plan,
- Dangs-Ahwa, has been given additional charge as DDO, Dangs-Ahwa.
