In a major administrative overhaul, the Government of Karnataka transferred and posted 16 IAS officers, including appointments of new Deputy Commissioners for five districts—Hassan, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Bagalkot, and Koppal. The reshuffle reflects the state’s broader strategy to strengthen governance and accelerate developmental initiatives at both district and departmental levels.

New Deputy Commissioners Appointed in Key Districts

Hassan: Latha Kumari KS (IAS: 2012), previously CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Bengaluru Urban, replaces Sathyabhama C (IAS: 2012), who has been posted as State Project Director, Samagra Shikshana Karnataka, Bengaluru.

Udupi: Swaroopa TK (IAS: 2012), earlier Director, E-Governance, RDPR, Bengaluru, has taken over as DC.

Dakshina Kannada: Darshan HV (IAS: 2016), from the Commercial Taxes Department, replaces Mullai Muhilan MP (IAS: 2013), who is now Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru.

Bagalkot: Sangappa (IAS: 2016), previously on the waitlist, takes over from Janaki KM (IAS: 2012), who is now Secretary, Karnataka Public Service Commission.

Koppal: Suresh B Itnal (IAS: 2016), earlier CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Davanagere, replaces Nalini Atul (IAS: 2014), who has been posted as Secretary, Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board, Kalaburagi.

Garima Panwar (IAS: 2018): Assigned as Managing Director, Karnataka Handlooms Development Corporation.

Rahul Ratnam Pandey (IAS: 2018): Appointed Executive Director, Centre for Smart Governance, Bengaluru.
