Telangana Govt transfers 8 IAS Officers, K Surendra Mohan made Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies

The Telangana government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has transferred eight senior IAS officers to key positions across various departments. The changes, announced late Thursday night, aim to enhance governance and streamline operations.

2006 batch IAS officer K. Surendra Mohan, currently Commissioner of Transport, has been assigned additional responsibilities as the Commissioner and Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Director of Marketing, relieving P. Uday Kumar from his in-charge role.

2012 batch IAS officer RV Karnan, Director of Health, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Arogya Sree, replacing Siva Sankar Ltheti, who has been moved to the General Administration Department.

In another significant appointment, K. Harish (SCS), a 2012 batch officer serving as Joint Secretary in the Finance Department, has been made the Director of Commercial Taxes, filling a long-vacant post and relieving SAM Rizvi.

2015 batch IAS officer SK Yasmeen Basha will now oversee the Telangana Seeds Development Corporation in addition to her role as Director of Horticulture.

Chandrasekhar Reddy, currently Director of HACA, has been named Managing Director of Telangana Foods, while B. Srinivas Reddy, the former MD of Telangana Foods, has been transferred back to his parent department, Handlooms and Textiles.

Sanchit Gangwar, previously Additional Collector of Wanaparthy, has been reassigned as Additional Collector (Local Bodies) in Narayanpet District.

The reshuffle underscores the state government’s focus on administrative efficiency and governance reforms. These strategic appointments are expected to strengthen policy implementation and improve service delivery across Telangana.
