Senior IAS officer Sudhansh Pant has been given additional charge of Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan).
Pant, a 1991-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Additional Charge From September 12
Pant will hold the additional responsibility from September 12 to October 4, 2026, during the leave period of V Vidyavathi, 1991-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre.

The arrangement will ensure continuity in the administrative functioning of the department during Vidyavathi’s absence.
Pant Continues Existing Role
Along with the additional charge, Pant will continue to serve as Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment. His existing responsibilities and new assignment will place him at the centre of administrative work across key social welfare and empowerment areas during the period.
