New Delhi:

Public Sector Day Summit 2026, organised by Elastic in collaboration with Elets Technomedia, concluded successfully on 3 July 2026 in New Delhi. The summit brought together senior government leaders, cybersecurity practitioners, technology experts, policymakers, public sector organisations, and industry stakeholders to deliberate on the future of AI-powered cybersecurity, observability, search, and intelligent digital governance for India’s public sector.
The event highlighted the growing need for intelligent, data-driven security operations capable of detecting, investigating, and responding to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats in real time. Delegates from government departments, public sector undertakings, defence organisations, research institutions, and technology companies participated in insightful discussions on building resilient and future-ready digital ecosystems.

The day commenced with the Welcome Address by Dr Ravi Gupta, Founder, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, Elets Technomedia, and Atul Ahuja, Area Vice President and General Manager, Elastic, who emphasised that cybersecurity has evolved into a strategic pillar of digital governance.

Dr Ravi Gupta, Founder, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, Elets Technomedia, noted that as governments adopt AI, cloud technologies, and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), the focus must shift from securing isolated systems to building intelligent security ecosystems capable of anticipating and mitigating emerging cyber threats through collaboration and innovation. Atul Ahuja, Area Vice President and General Manager, Elastic, highlighted the growing importance of data sovereignty and trusted digital infrastructure. He observed that modern public sector organisations require flexible deployment models, complete visibility, and resilient security architectures that enable governments to maintain control over critical data while strengthening cyber resilience.
Delivering the Chief Guest Address, Dr Devesh Vatsa, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.), Senior Vice President, Data Security Council of India (DSCI), reflected on the evolution of the internet from a research network to the backbone of modern governance and public services. He remarked that cybersecurity must now be recognised as a strategic enabler of national resilience, stating that the success of future digital transformation initiatives will depend on intelligent security operations, trusted digital infrastructure, skilled talent, and collaborative partnerships.

The summit’s keynote session, “AI-Powered Defence: Securing India’s Digital Sovereignty Through Intelligent Cyber Governance,” featured Vikas Awasthi, Regional Vice President, Public Sector, Elastic, who highlighted that AI is transforming the workplace by enabling professionals to focus on strategic decision-making while automating repetitive tasks. He stressed that responsible AI, built on trusted data, governance, transparency, and explainability, will be fundamental to sustainable digital transformation across government.
Speaking on “Beyond SIEM: Building Autonomous Threat Detection with Elastic AI Assistant, RAG & Semantic Search,” Simranjeet Singh Ahuja, Principal Solutions Architect, Elastic, demonstrated how AI-powered Security Operations Centres are reducing detection and response times by automating investigations, correlating large volumes of security data, and enabling analysts to focus on high-value security operations.
During the session on “Agentic RAG & Context Engineering: Grounding Agents in Enterprise Knowledge,” Abhinav Chauhan, Principal Solutions Architect, Elastic, discussed how scalable enterprise AI depends on intelligent search, vector databases, semantic search, multilingual capabilities, and GPU-accelerated architectures to efficiently manage structured and unstructured enterprise data while reducing infrastructure costs.
A key highlight of the summit was the panel discussion on “Intent-Based Cyber Security using AI and Smarter Log Analytics,” featuring distinguished experts from government and industry.
Gaurav Kumar Ranade, Chief Technology Officer, Netpoleon Bharat, observed that AI is fundamentally redefining the cyber battlefield, making intelligent Security Operations Centres, AI-driven analytics, continuous monitoring, and skilled cybersecurity professionals essential for protecting critical digital infrastructure.
Manoj Tandon, Director (Projects & Operations), RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., emphasised that cyber resilience depends on the right balance between technology, governance, and human expertise. He highlighted the growing importance of security-by-design, intelligent monitoring, and AI-assisted threat detection across public sector organisations.
Ravindra Ramnani, Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture, Elastic, explained how AI has dramatically compressed cyberattack timelines, making behaviour-based and anomaly-driven detection critical for identifying sophisticated threats that bypass traditional signature-based security.
The summit also featured a dedicated technical session on “AI-Powered Observability: Predicting & Preventing Failures Across Government Digital Platforms Before Citizens Are Impacted.” Puneet Duggal, Principal Solutions Architect, Elastic, demonstrated how AI agents are transforming enterprise operations from reactive monitoring to intelligent, autonomous action by correlating logs, metrics, traces, and events to deliver unified observability and faster incident response.
Elastic and Elets Technomedia sincerely thank all distinguished speakers, delegates, technology leaders, government representatives, and ecosystem partners for contributing to the success of the summit and for advancing meaningful dialogue around the future of AI-driven cybersecurity and digital governance.
Overall, Elastic Public Sector Day 2026 reinforced the growing importance of intelligent cybersecurity, AI-powered observability, trusted search, and autonomous security operations in strengthening India’s digital public infrastructure. The summit demonstrated how collaboration between government, industry, and technology innovators will be instrumental in building secure, resilient, and future-ready public sector digital ecosystems.
