The Madhya Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 29 IAS officers across several key departments and divisions. The exercise impacts important sectors including revenue administration, urban development, education, health, energy, tribal welfare, sports, and cooperative administration.

The latest transfers, issued by the General Administration Department, are aimed at strengthening governance, improving coordination among departments, and enhancing administrative efficiency across the state.
Alok Kumar Singh Moved from Chief Minister’s Secretariat

One of the most notable changes in the reshuffle is the transfer of Alok Kumar Singh (IAS: 2008), who was serving as Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and holding additional charge of the Mines Department.

He has now been appointed as:
- Inspector General of Registration
- Superintendent of Stamps
The move marks a significant change in the administrative setup of the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Dr E. Ramesh Kumar Takes Charge of Revenue Department
Senior IAS officer Dr E. Ramesh Kumar (IAS: 1999) has been appointed:
- Principal Secretary, Revenue Department
- Relief Commissioner
- Rehabilitation Commissioner
He will continue to oversee:
- Backward Classes Welfare Department
- Minority Welfare Department
- Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Department
The assignment places him in charge of one of the state’s most important administrative portfolios.

Vivek Kumar Porwal Gets Mineral Resources Department
Vivek Kumar Porwal (IAS: 2000) has been appointed:

The department plays a key role in managing Madhya Pradesh’s mining sector and related revenue generation.
