Chandrababu Naidu Invites Global Chipmakers to Invest in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has invited global semiconductor companies to invest in the state, positioning Andhra Pradesh as an emerging destination for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced technology industries.

Speaking at the Semicon Ecosystem Roundtable in Singapore, Naidu highlighted the state’s investor-friendly policies, fast-track approvals and growing industrial infrastructure, urging international companies to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh’s expanding technology sector.

Andhra Pradesh Eyes Semiconductor Leadership

Addressing industry leaders and technology firms, the Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh is committed to creating a world-class ecosystem for semiconductor manufacturing and allied industries.

He emphasized that the state follows a “Speed of Doing Business” approach, aimed at ensuring faster clearances, efficient governance and a supportive environment for investors.

Naidu encouraged global industrialists to visit Andhra Pradesh in the coming weeks to evaluate investment opportunities and understand the advantages offered by the state.

Rayalaseema Identified for Semiconductor Expansion

The Chief Minister announced that a semiconductor manufacturing facility is planned for the Rayalaseema region, which is being developed as a key industrial hub.

According to him, the region offers significant potential not only for semiconductor manufacturing but also for sectors such as:

  • Defence production
  • Aerospace manufacturing
  • Electronics and advanced technology industries
  • Automobile manufacturing
  • Aviation and related engineering sectors

The government believes that industrial development in Rayalaseema will generate employment opportunities and strengthen Andhra Pradesh‘s position in India’s manufacturing landscape.

Global Industry Participation at Singapore Roundtable

The semiconductor roundtable witnessed participation from representatives of several leading Singapore-based technology and semiconductor companies.

Industry representatives discussed potential collaboration opportunities and explored ways to strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh.

Companies represented at the event included:

  • GlobalFoundries
  • NXP
  • ASMPT
  • One System Technologies
  • TechSend Photomask
  • Aquatech

Discussions focused on manufacturing opportunities, supply chain development, technology partnerships and future investments in semiconductor-related industries.

Focus on Investment-Friendly Governance

Naidu reiterated that Andhra Pradesh remains committed to creating a business-friendly environment backed by policy support and efficient administration.

He noted that India continues to attract global investors due to its economic growth, stable business environment and expanding manufacturing ecosystem. Andhra Pradesh, he said, is working to complement these national advantages through proactive governance and infrastructure development.

Book on Naidu’s Leadership Released in Singapore

During his visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister also released a book titled “CBN@361 Degrees – Polymath”.

The publication examines Naidu’s leadership approach, governance decisions and development initiatives over the years. The first copies were presented to Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Shilpak Ambule, Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana and representatives of the local Telugu community.

The book has been authored by senior journalist Shakamuri Srinivasa Prasad and translated into English by retired IAS officer K.V. Satyanarayana.

Event Highlights Andhra Pradesh’s Global Outreach

The Chief Minister also participated in an event organised by the Telugu community in Singapore, where discussions focused on Andhra Pradesh’s development journey and future growth prospects.

During the programme, representatives of the association presented Naidu with a commemorative silver coin issued to mark the centenary of Singapore’s founding leader Lee Kuan Yew.

Organisers also announced plans to publish the book in multiple Indian languages, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s Technology Vision

The Singapore visit reflects Andhra Pradesh’s broader strategy of attracting global investments in high-technology sectors and positioning itself as a preferred destination for future industries.
