In a step towards advancing digital transformation in India, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Infotek Software and Systems Pvt Ltd (i-TEK RFID) to jointly develop advanced solutions using RFID, IoT, and AIDC technologies.
The partnership aims to bring smarter, more connected systems into industries by improving automation, tracking, and real-time monitoring capabilities. As industries increasingly move towards digital operations, such collaborations are expected to play a crucial role in building efficient and scalable infrastructure.
At the core of this initiative is the use of technologies like Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Internet of Things (IoT), and Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC). These tools will help organisations track assets, monitor processes in real time, and streamline operations with greater accuracy and speed.
The MoU was signed in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations, including BEL Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain and i-TEK RFID MD & CEO Ashim Ashok Patil, along with other officials.
For BEL, this collaboration reflects a broader shift beyond its traditional strengths in defence electronics. The company is increasingly focusing on next-generation technologies that can support both industrial and public sector needs.
The solutions developed under this partnership are expected to find applications across multiple sectors, including logistics, supply chain management, industrial automation, asset tracking, and even defence infrastructure.
