In a major boost to India’s digital infrastructure, Dubai-based Solstice Data has signed a ₹52,600 crore investment agreement to establish advanced AI-driven data centre facilities in Kerala.

The project will be developed at the industrial park of the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) in Mattannur, Kannur, where the company has been allotted around 100 acres of land.

Focus on AI and High-Performance Computing

The proposed facility will focus on AI-powered high-performance computing (HPC) data centres, which are critical for supporting next-generation technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and cloud computing.

This investment is expected to strengthen Kerala’s position as an emerging hub for digital infrastructure and advanced technology.

MoU Signed in Thiruvananthapuram

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged in Thiruvananthapuram between:

• Raj Babu Thulaseedharan, Country Head (India), Solstice Data

• Santhosh Koshy Thomas, Managing Director, KINFRA

The ceremony was held in the presence of P Rajeev and P Vishnuraj, Director of Industries.

Phased Investment Over 5–7 Years

Solstice Data plans to roll out the investment in phases over the next five to seven years. The project is expected to generate employment, attract allied industries, and support the growth of the digital economy in the region.

Global Expertise in Data Centres

Headquartered in Dubai, Solstice Data operates more than 60 data centre projects globally, including in the United States and Canada.

With its expertise in AI-driven infrastructure, the company aims to bring global standards of data centre technology to India through this project.

Boost to Kerala’s Tech Ecosystem

The investment is expected to significantly enhance Kerala’s technology ecosystem, supporting innovation, digital services, and industrial growth.

By hosting large-scale AI data centres, the state is likely to attract further investments in IT, cloud services, and emerging technologies, reinforcing its role in India’s digital transformation journey.
