The Government of Haryana has carried out a key bureaucratic restructuring, including fresh appointments in two major urban districts: Gurugram and Faridabad.

Phool Chand Meena, a 2004-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA). The state’s Chief Secretary issued the posting order, which takes effect immediately.

Alongside this, Ayush Sinha, a 2018-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad. His appointment is part of a broader reshuffle aimed at strengthening district-level administration and service delivery.

The new postings are expected to reinforce governance in regions that have seen rapid population growth and expanding urban infrastructure needs. With Gurugram remaining a critical economic hub and Faridabad emerging as a cluster of industrial and residential expansion, the leadership changes are anticipated to support smoother planning, coordination and execution of development projects.
