The Centre has approved a fresh round of senior-level appointments and upgradations, posting officers as Additional Secretaries across ministries handling education, welfare, research, rural governance, defence, and consumer affairs.
Key postings and upgradations include:
- Meenaxi Rawat continues as Chief Vigilance Officer of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, with an upgrade to the Additional Secretary level.
- Archana Sharma Awasthi has been appointed Additional Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy.
- Manoj Kumar joins as Additional Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management.
- Nitesh Kumar Mishra has been posted as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Anupam Mishra takes charge as Additional Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs.
- Anu Nagar has been appointed Additional Secretary, Department of Health Research.
- Alok Prem Nagar assumes charge as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
- Chetan Prakash Jain becomes Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

- Manish Tripathi has been posted as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence.
The appointments place experienced officers in departments overseeing national programmes related to education, social justice, food security, public research, rural institutions, youth affairs, and defence administration.
