In a major push to bolster the digital economy and attract global investments, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ANSR, a global leader in establishing and scaling Global Capability Centres (GCCs). This strategic alliance marks a decisive step in positioning Andhra Pradesh as a premier destination for technology-driven enterprises.
The MoU was formalised in the presence of key stakeholders from the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) and ANSR leadership. Under this partnership, a cutting-edge Global Capability Centre innovation campus will be developed in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). This facility, spanning 10 acres within the Madhurawada IT cluster, is projected to generate over 10,000 employment opportunities by 2029.
ANSR’s innovation campus will feature advanced infrastructure, including simulation labs, delivery centres, training facilities, and immersive innovation spaces. With the backing of its extensive global ecosystem, ANSR plans to bring its strategic partners—such as Accenture, Accel, and ServiceNow—into the fold to fast-track growth and operational excellence at the campus.
In tandem with this development, the state has also secured a significant investment commitment from the Sattva Group. The group will be setting up a ₹1500 crore integrated facility in Vizag, which is expected to create an additional 15,000 jobs. Combined with the ANSR-led GCC initiative, these efforts are poised to generate a total of 25,000 new jobs, solidifying Andhra Pradesh’s position as a hub for high-end technology, innovation, and services.
IT Minister Nara Lokesh and IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni recently held extensive meetings with the leadership of the Sattva Group to discuss sustainable investments and innovation frameworks. These deliberations underscore the government’s proactive approach to engaging with the private sector to foster a future-ready digital economy.
Additionally, the delegation from Andhra Pradesh has been actively engaging with leading business figures and technology firms in Bengaluru to promote the state as a favourable destination for IT, fintech, and GCC expansion. These outreach efforts are aligned with Andhra Pradesh’s broader vision of transforming into a globally competitive, innovation-led economy.
This collaborative effort reflects the state’s long-term strategy to strengthen its IT ecosystem through skill development, policy reforms, and infrastructure upgrades. The supportive policy environment, coupled with a skilled talent pool and cost-effective operational landscape, positions Andhra Pradesh as a compelling choice for multinational corporations seeking to set up and expand their GCCs in India.
The convergence of strategic partnerships, large-scale investments, and forward-looking governance highlights the state’s commitment to creating an inclusive and innovation-driven economic framework. As Andhra Pradesh continues to harness global partnerships and local strengths, its emergence as a key player in India’s digital transformation story looks increasingly promising.
