The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended TSC BOSH for the role of Director (Projects) at REC Limited. The decision followed a comprehensive selection process conducted earlier today, with Mr. Bosh emerging as the top candidate among several experienced and qualified professionals considered for the post.
The recommendation comes at a crucial time for REC Limited, a Maharatna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The incumbent Director (Projects) is nearing the end of their tenure, and this recommendation is expected to ensure a smooth transition in one of the most strategically important roles within the organisation. The Director (Projects) is responsible for overseeing REC’s vast portfolio of infrastructure and electrification projects, which are instrumental in supporting India’s energy and development goals.
TSC BOSH, widely acknowledged for his expertise in technical operations and project execution, is anticipated to bring renewed strategic direction to REC’s ongoing and future initiatives. His previous track record reflects strong leadership in handling complex projects, optimising resources, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables—all of which align with REC’s core objectives.
REC Limited, originally known as Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, plays a critical role in India’s power sector. With a primary mandate to finance and promote rural electrification and infrastructure development, the corporation has grown significantly over the years, contributing to the government’s vision of ‘Power for All’. As Director (Projects), Mr. Bosh would be tasked with not only sustaining REC’s legacy but also pushing boundaries in project innovation, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement.
Industry analysts believe that this appointment could pave the way for enhanced operational efficiency and a sharper focus on sustainability and innovation within the organisation. Given the increasing importance of renewable energy, smart grid solutions, and integrated infrastructure development, Mr. Bosh’s leadership could be instrumental in steering REC towards a more forward-looking growth trajectory.
With PESB’s formal recommendation, the next steps include approvals from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and other requisite formalities. Upon final appointment, Mr. Bosh is expected to assume his new responsibilities without delay, thereby maintaining continuity and momentum in project implementation.
The PESB’s decision has been welcomed by stakeholders in the public sector and energy industries, who view this move as a strategic effort to strengthen REC’s leadership at a time of both opportunity and challenge. The coming months will likely see Mr. Bosh taking charge of pivotal projects, setting the tone for REC’s long-term project planning and execution strategies.
