The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), operating under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has officially launched its ambitious ‘Samarth’ programme aimed at nurturing innovation in the telecom and ICT sectors. As part of the inaugural phase, 18 startups have been awarded grants of up to ₹5 lakh each, along with access to modern office facilities and state-of-the-art research laboratories located at C-DOT’s campuses in Delhi and Bengaluru.
The Samarth initiative is designed to support early-stage companies working in cutting-edge domains such as 5G, 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, quantum technologies, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The selected startups—chosen through a rigorous and competitive screening process—represent a diverse range of technological innovations poised to make significant contributions to India’s digital economy.

Among the selected entities in the first cohort are Turtleneck Systems & Solutions Pvt Ltd, AgriVerse Innovations, Threat Expert Cyber Solutions, Matisoft Cyber Security Labs, Revino Solutions, Ajayan Consulting, Vital Carbon, Atibha Research and Development, Alphappleton Innovations, Haranzel Technologies, Brahmi Systems, Paravani Business Solutions, Purvanchal Engineering Systems, Aaizel International Technologies, Brenin Technologies, Jumps Automation, Master Education, and Farsight Innovations.

To ensure holistic development, the programme offers not only financial support but also structured mentoring and acceleration opportunities. The initiative, executed in collaboration with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE) as implementation partners, is delivered in a hybrid format. The programme spans two six-month cohorts and will support up to 36 startups in total.

At the official launch event held at C-DOT’s Delhi campus, each selected startup received its first tranche of funding. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, CEO of C-DOT; Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI; and Atul Dhawan, President of TiE Delhi-NCR. A formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed between C-DOT and STPI, symbolising a long-term commitment to joint efforts in mentorship and innovation support.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Upadhyay emphasised the transformative potential of the Samarth programme, noting that the blend of infrastructure, expert mentorship, and targeted funding is designed to accelerate the journey of startups from ideation to market readiness. By anchoring these companies within a robust ecosystem, the programme aspires to position India as a global leader in telecom and ICT innovation.
With a clear focus on scalability and sustainability, Samarth not only fosters innovation but also contributes to the broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by strengthening indigenous technological capabilities in key sectors.
