In a second significant administrative shake-up within a week, the Uttar Pradesh government executed a late-night bureaucratic overhaul on Tuesday, transferring 14 IAS officers and 6 PCS officers. Among the high-profile changes are the transfers of District Magistrates in four key districts — Ballia, Pilibhit, Hardoi, and Maharajganj — signaling a fresh alignment of administrative leadership across crucial regions of the state.

• Key IAS Transfers

Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has been given additional responsibility as Agriculture Production Commissioner, a post previously held by Chief Secretary Manoj Singh.

Apoorva Dubey, Vice-Chairperson of the Aligarh Development Authority, has been appointed as Director of the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA).

Prerna Sharma, outgoing Director of SUDA, has been transferred as Special Secretary in the Horticulture and Food Processing Department.

Ravindra Kumar-1, currently Special Secretary, Culture, and Director of Religious Affairs, will now serve as Special Secretary for Agriculture, Agri-Marketing, Foreign Trade, and Agri-Education and Research.

Mangla Prasad Singh, a 2012 batch promotee IAS officer and current DM of Hardoi, has been appointed as the new DM of Ballia. Singh’s transfer marks a return to the Purvanchal region, where he previously served as DM of Ghazipur and held significant roles in Varanasi.

Praveen Kumar Laxkar, a 2012 batch IAS officer and outgoing DM of Ballia, has been posted as Joint Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban).

Anunay Jha, a 2015 batch IAS officer and DM of Maharajganj, will now take over as DM of Hardoi.

Santosh Kumar Sharma, a 2014 batch promotee IAS officer, currently CEO of Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad and Municipal Commissioner of Ayodhya, has been named DM of Maharajganj.

Gyanendra Singh, another 2014 batch promotee IAS officer and Joint MD of UP Jal Nigam (Urban), has been appointed DM of Pilibhit.

Sanjay Kumar Singh, a 2012 batch promotee IAS officer and outgoing DM of Pilibhit, has been posted as Special Secretary, Culture Department, and Director of Religious Affairs.

Jayendra Kumar, Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Siddharthnagar, will now serve as CEO of Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad and Municipal Commissioner of Ayodhya.

Mrinali Avinash Joshi, Joint Magistrate of Gorakhpur, replaces Jayendra Kumar as CDO of Siddharthnagar.

Kuldeep Meena, CDO of Bulandshahr, replaces Dubey in Aligarh.

Nisha, Joint Magistrate of Mathura, becomes the new CDO of Bulandshahr.

Prakash Chandra, ADM Protocol & Law and Order, Varanasi, has been posted as ADM Judicial, Hathras.

Shiv Narayan, ADM Judicial, Hathras, has been moved to ADM Judicial, Baghpat.

Vineet Kumar Singh, ADM Finance & Revenue, Gorakhpur, is now ADM City, Ghaziabad.

Himanshu Verma, City Magistrate, Gorakhpur, has been promoted to ADM Finance & Revenue, Gorakhpur.

Utkarsh Srivastava, SDM Sant Kabir Nagar, takes charge as City Magistrate, Gorakhpur.

Alankar Agnihotri, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow, has been appointed City Magistrate, Bareilly.
