In a significant administrative overhaul, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved the transfer and posting of 38 officers in the Delhi Police, including 24 from the Indian Police Service (IPS) and 14 from the Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Service (DANIPS). The large-scale reshuffle is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening leadership across key departments and districts.

Key Senior-Level Appointments

• David Lalringsanga has been appointed Special Commissioner of Police for two crucial units: SPUWAC (Special Police Unit for Women and Children) and SPUNER (Special Police Unit for North-Eastern Region), reinforcing safety for vulnerable groups.
  
• Dheeraj Kumar takes over as Director, Delhi Police Academy, playing a pivotal role in training and capacity building.
  
• Raj Kumar Singh is the new Joint Commissioner of Police (Provisioning & Logistics).
  
• Vijay Kumar, previously with the Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited, is now Joint CP Eastern Range.

Additional appointments include

• Umesh Kumar as Additional CP (Security).
  
• Pratiksha Godara, as Additional CP, Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited, shifted from the Special Cell.

• Nidhin Valsan moves from DCP Outer North to DCP Central District.
  
• Rajeev Ranjan, former DCP Welfare, is now DCP Rohini.
  
• V Hareshwar Swami takes over as DCP Outer North.
  
• Amit Goel, previously DCP Rohini, becomes DCP South West.
  
• Hemant Tiwari joins as DCP South East from the IFSO Unit.
