The central deputation tenure of Manoj Sahay, serving as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Expenditure, has been extended until January 29, 2027. A 1994 batch Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer, Sahay brings extensive experience in financial oversight and governance.

Currently, he is also the Director in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, where he oversees the Financial Inclusion division and key government initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Stand Up India scheme, and micro insurance programs.

Sahay was appointed as a Government Nominee Director at IDBI Bank Ltd on April 28, 2022. His tenure at IDBI Bank has included various leadership roles, with his current designation as a Government Nominee continuing into 2024.

With a BE in Civil Engineering from the University of Roorkee and a postgraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of Allahabad, Sahay’s diverse academic background complements his strategic role in financial governance.
