The Central government has announced a series of appointments and promotions across various departments:
- Sujata Chaturvedi (IAS: 1989: BH), Secretary, Department of Sports, has been assigned additional charge as Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, following Sumita Dawra’s (IAS: 1991: AP) stepping down from the role.
- Raman Kumar Meena (IPS: 2011: HP), SP, CBI, has been promoted to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for the remainder of his tenure, set to continue until February 9, 2030.
- Shilpa D (IPS: 2016: KL) has been appointed as Superintendent of Police in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a five-year tenure.
Additionally, the tenure of DS/Director-level officers in the Technical Support Unit (TSU) under the Office of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade has been confirmed for:
