The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of nineteen officers from various Central Services for appointment to Joint Secretary or equivalent positions in the Government of India.

According to the official order issued on Monday, the empanelled officers include four from the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), and two each from the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS), Indian Economic Service (IES), Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE), and Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME). One officer from IRAS has also been empanelled.
