In one of the most significant administrative overhauls in recent times, the Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has issued transfer and posting orders for 113 police officers, including 17 IPS and 96 JKPS officers. The reshuffle, executed under Government Order No. 207-Home of 2025, is designed to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen police administration across the Union Territory.

Among the top-level IPS changes, Uttam Chand (IPS-2002) has been appointed as IGP (Police Operations & Services) at Police Headquarters, while Sarah Rizvi (IPS-2008) has taken charge as DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, replacing Rayees Mohammad Bhat, who now serves as DIG CID Kashmir.
