The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of central deputation tenures for  Sandhya Bhullar and Anuradha Thakur, both senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. This decision, formalized through an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on March 19, 2025, ensures their continued service in key government roles.

Sandhya Bhullar, a 2003-batch IAS officer from the Gujarat cadre, will continue as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) for an extended period of two years. Her deputation tenure, initially set to conclude on February 23, 2025, has now been prolonged until February 23, 2027, or until further directives are issued.

Similarly,  Anuradha Thakur, a 1994-batch IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, will remain in her role as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for an additional year. The ACC has sanctioned her tenure extension beyond March 24, 2025, extending it until March 24, 2026, or until further notice.

Thakur has been serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs since January 2022, contributing significantly to policy formulation and regulatory oversight in the corporate sector. Her extended tenure will allow continuity in the ministry’s ongoing initiatives and projects.
