
The Government of India has approved the promotion of Kumar Saurabh Raj, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 2011 batch of the Punjab cadre, to the position of Director in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Previously serving as Deputy Secretary, his elevation has been sanctioned under the Central Staffing Scheme as a personal measure.
According to an official order released by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Kumar Saurabh Raj’s re-designation will be effective from the date he assumes charge of the new role. His tenure as Director is set to continue until January 24, 2028, marking a five-year term in the position.
