RECPDCL transfers ERES-XXXIX Power Transmission Limited to Tata Power

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over the project-specific SPV, ERES-XXXIX Power Transmission Limited, to Tata Power Company Limited on November 14, 2024, in Gurugram.


Tata Power Company Limited emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process organized by RECPDCL, serving as the Bid Process Coordinator for this Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) project.

The project encompasses the establishment of a 765/400 kV, 2 x 1500 MVA GIS substation at Gopalpur in Odisha, 199 km of 765 kV transmission lines, and 25 km of 400 kV lines, along with other associated works. The transfer was formalized by T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, handing over to Tarun Katiyar, CEO of Tata Power Trading Company Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, Tata Power, and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The project aims for completion by December 2027.
