To support sustainable development and tackle climate change, NHPC Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) at its office in Faridabad. This partnership highlights the shared dedication of both organisations to driving innovation in clean energy and helping India transition to a low-carbon future.
The MoU was executed by Shri V.R. Shrivastava, Executive Director (Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen), NHPC, and Shri Soumya Prasad Garnaik, Country Head, GGGI. The ceremony was graced by the presence of senior dignitaries, including Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, and Dr. D.K. Khare, Advisor, GGGI, along with other senior officials from both institutions.
This partnership is focused on implementing cutting-edge clean energy initiatives, with a particular emphasis on agrivoltaics, green hydrogen, and sustainable financing strategies. The collaboration aims to integrate renewable energy solutions with agricultural practices, explore transformative technologies, and catalyze investments in green energy projects. These efforts are aligned with India’s commitments under the Paris Agreement and its broader climate and renewable energy goals.
Commenting on the occasion, Shri Uttam Lal remarked, “This strategic alliance reflects NHPC’s unwavering dedication to fostering innovative clean energy solutions and supporting sustainable growth.
