Shri Sumeet Jarangal, Director at the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in a LinkedIn post hailed the launch of the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) platform as a game-changer for the country’s burgeoning entrepreneurial community. BHASKAR was launched by Union Commerce Minister, Piyush Goyal on 16th September 2024. It was launched to connect key stakeholders across the startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and government bodies. This initiative is expected to facilitate seamless collaboration and foster growth.

BHASKAR’s vision is to build the world’s largest digital startup ecosystem. The platform is designed to streamline knowledge sharing and create a more interconnected, efficient, and accessible innovation landscape for all participants. Through personalised BHASKAR IDs, users can access a host of networking and collaboration tools that will elevate India’s status as a global innovation hub. 

The goal of BHASKAR is to serve as a one-stop platform where diverse startup ecosystem players can easily connect and collaborate. By bringing together stakeholders under one virtual roof, the platform seeks to catalyse the growth and success of startups across India. Whether it’s a young entrepreneur seeking mentorship, an investor looking for innovative ideas, or a government body aiming to support new businesses, BHASKAR will provide the tools for productive engagement.
