IAS Ashish Bhargava returns from Center within 11 months

The Sports Ministry has approved the proposal for the premature repatriation of 2021 batch IAS Ashish Bhargava, Director General of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), to his parent cadre.

According to the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions on October 15, 2024, the return of Bhargava will be subject to the conditions of the “cooling off” period. Bhargava was on this post from 17 October 2023 and is returning to his parent cadre i.e. Madhya Pradesh after just 11 months.

It should be noted that the deputation tenure of IAS Bhargava will end on 9 November 2026, he will be considered eligible for any other deputation after 9 November 2029. This means that they must observe a “cooling off” period of three years after their tenure.
