In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government recently transferred 50 IAS officers, including more than a dozen district magistrates. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued a notification detailing the changes aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency across the state.
Bhojpur Collector Raj Kumar, a 2010 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Bihar State Milk Co-Operative Federation Ltd (COMFED). Sheohar Collector Pankaj Kumar, also from the 2010 batch, has been reassigned as the Director of Primary Education.
Nayyar Iqbal, formerly Director of the Mines and Geology Department, has taken on the role of Special Secretary of the Food and Consumer Protection Department. Rakesh Kumar, the District Collector of Lakhisarai, has been appointed as the Director of Consolidation, while Mithilesh Mishra, who held the position previously, will now serve as the District Magistrate of Lakhisarai.
Rohtas District Magistrate Naveen Kumar has been named the State Transport Commissioner, and Inayat Khan, the District Magistrate of Araria, has been appointed Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Sunil Kumar Yadav is now the Additional Secretary of the Labour Resources Department. Yogendra Singh has been made the Director of Secondary Education and will also handle the additional charge of Director of the Mid Day Meal programme. Anand Sharma and Himanshu Kumar Rai have been appointed as Directors in the Panchayati Raj Department, while Dr. Jitendra Gupta is now the Joint Secretary of the Bihar State Planning Board.
Dr. Vidya Nand Singh will serve as the Director of the Statistics Department, with Uditha Singh taking over as the District Magistrate of Rohtas. Roshan Kushwaha has been named the District Magistrate of Samastipur.

Sanjay Kumar is now the Additional Secretary of the GAD, Kumar Mangalam has assumed the role of Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation in Purnea, and Atul Kumar Verma has been appointed as the Administrator of the Bihar Road Transport Department. J. Priyadarshani has been transferred as Director in the Land Reform Department.
In addition to these, 30 other IAS officers have been reassigned to various positions across the state.
