13 IAS transferred in Uttar Pradesh, CP Singh appointed DM Lucknow

The Uttar Pradesh government executed a large-scale reshuffle of IAS officers late Friday night, impacting 13 districts across the state. Key appointments have been made, including several District Magistrates (DMs) taking on new roles.

Among the notable changes, CP Singh, previously the DM of Bulandshahr, has been appointed as the new DM of Lucknow, succeeding Surya Pal Gangwar. In Prayagraj, Ravindra Mander will take over as DM, while Dinesh has been appointed as the DM of Jaunpur.

Other significant postings include

  • Nidhi Gupta, as DM of Amroha
  • Ghanshyam Meena as DM of Hamirpur
  • Arvind Bhangari as DM of Agra
  • Navneet Chahal as DM of Azamgarh
  • Umesh Mishra, as DM of Muzaffarnagar
  • Ravindra Singh, as DM of Fatehpur
  • Former DM of Agra, Bhanu Chandra Goswami, has now been assigned as the Relief Commissioner.

The government has instructed all transferred officers to assume their new roles immediately. This reshuffle follows a broader trend of recent administrative changes, including the reassignment of ten IPS officers earlier in the week. The transfers come as the state prepares for upcoming by-elections for ten seats, marking a period of heightened administrative activity.
