REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a fully owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has officially handed over two Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The SPVs, Rajasthan IV-C Power Transmission Limited and Rajasthan IV-E Power Transmission Limited are designated for the evacuation of power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV (Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex).

PGCIL secured the role of Transmission Service Provider through a Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process managed by RECPDCL, which acted as the Bid Process Coordinator.

Project Details

• Rajasthan IV-C Power Transmission Limited: Includes the construction of a 765/400 kV, 3×1500 MVA & 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA Pooling Station at Mandsaur, 171.75 km of 765 kV line, and associated works.
• Rajasthan IV-E Power Transmission Limited: This project involves a 765 kV Substation near Rishabdeo, 339.24 km of 765 kV line, and associated works.
• Handing Over: T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, transferred the SPVs to PGCIL officials, including Satya Prakash Dash, Company Secretary, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
• Implementation Timeline: The projects are scheduled for completion within two years.
