Ashok Kumar Singh assumes Role of Director General at ESIC

Ashok Kumar Singh, IAS, has officially assumed the role of Director General of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. The handover took place today at the ESIC Headquarters in New Delhi.


Singh, an IAS Officer from the 1999 Kerala cadre batch, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His previous positions include Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department in Kerala, Executive Director at the National Mission for Clean Ganga, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, and Director at the Ministry of Finance.

He holds an M. Phil from the National Defence College, New Delhi, and a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT Kanpur.
