The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has selected Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra for the post of Director (Projects) at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Central PSU. Burra, currently serving as Executive Director and CEO of PowerGrid Teleservices Limited in New Delhi, will assume the new role subject to requisite clearances and ACC approval. Incumbent Director (Projects) Abhay Choudhary retired on June 30, 2024.

Robert Ravi Appointed as BSNL CMD for Six Months
The Government has appointed Robert Jerard Ravi, an ITS officer, as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of BSNL for six months. Ravi, currently Deputy Director General of Standards, Research and Innovation at the Department of Telecommunication (DoT), will also hold additional charge as CMD of MTNL and BBNL starting July 15, 2024. He replaces P K Purwar, whose tenure expired on July 14, 2024.

A K Jain Selected as Director (Finance) for NBCC
The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has selected Anjeev Kumar Jain for the post of Director (Finance) at NBCC (India) Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Central PSU. Currently serving as Executive Director of Finance at Rites Limited, Jain will assume the new role pending requisite clearances and ACC approval. The position of Director (Finance) at NBCC is presently vacant.

Sandeep Kumar Appointed as Director (Finance) of PFC
Sandeep Kumar has been appointed as Director (Finance) at Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) effective July 11, 2024. Previously the Executive Director (Finance) and CFO at PFC, Kumar brings over 34 years of experience in the power and financial sectors to his new role. His leadership was pivotal in managing the Rs 1.12 trillion Liquidity Infusion Scheme under the Atmanirbhar Bharat program.

M K Dubey Selected as CMD of Indian Railway Finance Corporation
The Search-cum-Selection Committee has selected Manoj Kumar Dubey (IRAS: 1993) for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC). Currently Director (Finance) at CONCOR, Dubey will take over the role pending requisite clearances and ACC ratification. The CMD post at IRFC has been under an ad-hoc arrangement for over two years.

H. M. Gupta Takes Over as CMD of IRCON International
Hari Mohan Gupta has assumed the role of CMD at IRCON International Limited. Previously serving as Director (Infrastructure) at DFCCIL, Gupta’s appointment was ratified by the ACC on June 29, 2024, following his selection by the Public Enterprise Selection Board in December 2023. He will serve as CMD until his retirement on June 30, 2026.

S K Singh Appointed as Chairman of Deendayal Port Trust
Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME: 1993) has been appointed as Chairman of Deendayal Port Trust in Kandla, Gujarat, for a term ending January 2027. Singh, who previously served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, succeeds SK Mehta, who has been repatriated to his parent cadre.

LIC Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty Redesignated as MD & CEO
Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has redesignated its Chairman, Siddhartha Mohanty, as Managing Director and CEO effective June 30, 2024. This move aligns with the capital market regulator’s guidelines for better corporate governance by separating the roles of chairperson and CEO.

Sreenivasulu Setty Recommended as Next SBI Chairman
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has recommended Challa Sreenivasulu Setty as the next Chairman of State Bank of India (SBI). Setty, with 36 years of experience at SBI, will take over from Dinesh Khara upon his retirement on August 28, 2024. Setty has managed critical portfolios, including a Rs 1.49 lakh crore stressed assets portfolio during the 2018 bad loan cycle.
