IPS transfer

In a significant post-election bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered the transfer of at least 16 IPS officers across the state. Among the notable changes, S.B. Shiradkar (1993 batch), the current Commissioner of Police (CP) of Lucknow, has been reassigned as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in the Lucknow zone. He is succeeded by Amrendra K. Sengar (1995 batch) as the new Lucknow CP.

Tarun Gauba (2001 batch) has been appointed the Police Commissioner of Prayagraj, replacing Ramit Sharma (1999 batch), who will now serve as the ADGP of Bareilly zone. Meanwhile, Prashant Kumar (1990 batch), previously the Inspector General (IG) in the Economic Offences Wing, has been named the IG of Lucknow Range.

Other officers impacted by the transfer orders include B.D. Paulson (1998 batch), Rajesh Dwivedi (1997 batch), Yamuna Prasad (2012 batch), Prem Chandra Meena (1991 batch), Prakash D (1994 batch), J.N. Singh (1994 batch), L.V. Antony (1994 batch), Dev Kumar (1993 batch), Vidya Sagar Mishra, Binod Kumar Singh (2007 batch), K. Satya Narayan (1998 batch), and Raghubeer Lal (1997 batch).
