In a significant administrative move, the Madhya Pradesh Government has undertaken a major reshuffle of its IPS cadre, transferring 47 officers, including key personnel. The shuffle announced recently saw the reassignment of police superintendents from 12 districts.

Among the notable changes, Special Director General CID, GP Singh (1989), assumes the charge of SDG of prisons, while ADG Intelligence Pawan Kumar Shrivastava (1992) transitions to ADG-CID.

The shuffle also saw DIG SAF Bhopal Navneet Bhasin (2009) taking charge as DIG Ujjain range and DIG Bhopal Amit Singh (2009) assuming the role of additional commissioner of police law and order in Indore. Additionally, DIG Home Guards Mahesh Chand Jain (2009) is now given the charge of the Narcotics division in Indore, while DIG 6th SAF Jabalpur Saket Prakash Pandey (2009) assumes responsibilities for the DIG Rewa range.

Further changes include DIG and SP Chattarpur Amit Sanghi‘s appointment to hold the DIG SAF Central Range Bhopal charge and DIG and SP Khandwa Virendra Kumar Singh (2009) taking up duties at PHQ Bhopal.


Moreover, DIG and SSP Radio Prashant Khare (2009) will now oversee DIG Narmadapuram, and DIG and Commandant 7th SAF Bhopal Atul Singh (2009) assumes the role of DIG Khargone range. Notably, DIG and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Manish Kumar Agarwal (2009) transitions to DIG Home Guards.

Novidita Gupta (2015), previously serving as SP Rail Indore, has assumed the role of SP Singorli, while Akhil Patel (2015), formerly SP Dindori, now holds the position of DCP (Crime) in Bhopal. Dhramraj Meena (2015), SP Rajgarh, has been appointed SP Khargone, and Agam Jain (2016), commanding the 25th SAF, is now SP Chattarpur. Hitika Vasal (2017), who served as SP PTRS Indore, has been assigned as the new SP of PTS Indore. Shuritkirti Somwanshi, who held the DCP (crime) position in Bhopal, is now the SP of Damoh district. Aditya Mishra (2018), formerly DCP zone-1 Indore, now serves as SP Rajgarh, while Abhishek Anand (2018), previously DCP zone-2 Indore, has assumed the role of SP of Sheopur district.

Mrigakhi Deka (2018), appointed as AIG, now serves as SP Rail Bhopal, and Santosh Kori, commanding the 35th SAF, has taken over as SP Rail Indore. Ramji Shrivastava (DD-95), formerly DCP zone-1 Bhopal, has been appointed as commandant of the 8th SAF in Chhindwara, and Sunil Tiwari (DD-95), who was SP Damoh, has been shifted to PHQ as AIG. Rai Singh Narwariya (DD-96), who was SP Sheopur, is now the SP of Niwari.

Ram Sharan Prajapati (DD-96), previously DCP Bhopal, has been shifted to PHQ as AIG. Priyanka Shukla (2019), formerly ASP Jabalpur, has been appointed as DCP zone-1 Bhopal, and Abhinay Vishwakarma (2019), who served as ADCP zone-4 Indore, is now DCP zone-2 Indore. Rishikesh Meena (2019), previously ASP Gwalior, has taken over as DCP zone-4 Indore, while Vinod Kumar Meena (2019), formerly ASP Balaghat, is now DCP zone-1 Indore.
