
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16th February inaugurated and dedicated to the nation a slew of development projects valued at more than Rs 9750 crores in Rewari, Haryana. The initiatives span various critical sectors including urban transport, healthcare, railways, and tourism. Amidst the ceremony, Shri Modi also toured exhibitions showcasing the projects.
In his address, the Prime Minister paid homage to Rewari’s courageous inhabitants and expressed gratitude for their enduring support. He reminisced about his initial foray into Rewari as a Prime Ministerial candidate in 2013, recalling the warm reception and good wishes he received. PM Modi emphasised the invaluable asset of the people’s blessings, attributing India’s global ascension to their unwavering support. Referencing recent visits to UAE and Qatar, he credited India’s international stature to the people’s honour and goodwill. Furthermore, he underscored the role of public support in accomplishments such as India’s elevation in global rankings and landmark missions like Chandrayaan and G20.
Highlighting the significance of Haryana’s development in India’s progress, the Prime Minister emphasised the inauguration and foundation stone laying of projects worth approximately Rs 10,000 crores. These endeavours aim to modernise transportation networks and healthcare infrastructure in Haryana. Notable among the projects are AIIMS Rewari, Gurugram Metro, various rail expansions, and the experiential museum, Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar, which will showcase Lord Shri Krishna’s teachings and Haryana’s cultural heritage.

Speaking about the national and global impact of ‘Modi’s Guarantee,’ the Prime Minister cited Rewari as its first testament. He referenced past guarantees fulfilled, including the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring advancements in women’s, backward classes’, Dalits’, and tribals’ rights.

Shifting focus to veterans’ welfare ,PM Modi reiterated the fulfilment of ‘One Rank One Pension’ promises in Rewari, with beneficiaries receiving over Rs 600 crores to date. He contrasted this with the meagre Rs 500 crores allocated by the previous government, emphasising the tangible benefits accrued by Rewari’s servicemen.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed his commitment to establishing AIIMS Rewari, promising enhanced healthcare access and educational opportunities for local residents. He noted the proliferation of medical colleges nationwide, with efforts underway to ensure each district in Haryana boasts at least one medical institution.
