Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 74 revamped railway stations in Uttar Pradesh virtually as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone and dedicated more than 2,000 railway projects worth approximately Rs 41,000 crores during the event.

Highlighting the significance of the Indian Railways beyond its role in transportation, PM Modi emphasized its pivotal role in India’s agricultural and industrial progress. He stated, “Indian Railways is not just a passenger facility but is also the biggest vehicle of India’s agricultural and industrial progress.”

Under the ‘One Station One Product’ initiative, special shops have been established at stations to promote the products of small farmers, artisans, and craftsmen, the Prime Minister announced.


Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, remarked that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the ‘train of progress’ of ‘New India’ is moving rapidly. He extended heartfelt thanks for the infrastructure projects that aim to improve the lives of the common people.

The 74 revamped railway stations in Uttar Pradesh include key stations such as Meerut Nagar Jn., Mau Jn., Manikpur Jn., Shri Krishna Nagar, Unchahar Jn., and Gonda Jn., among others, signifying a significant step in the state’s infrastructure development.
