IAS Officer


In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle, the Telangana state government has announced the transfer of 10 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials to new postings:

E. Naveen Nicolas, a 2018 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). He previously served as Joint Collector in the Tribal Welfare Department of Telangana.

B. Bala Maya Devi, from the 2005 batch, will now serve as the Commissioner of Backward Class Welfare.


Anita Ramachandran, belonging to the 2004 batch, assumes the role of Commissioner of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. She formerly held the position of Joint Collector in Anantapur District.

K. Seetha Lakshmi, a 2011 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and Secretary of Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutional Society (TTWREIS).


V.S.N.V. Prasad, who joined the IAS in 1988, takes on the role of Director of Civil Supplies, having previously served as Director of Zoo Parks in Hyderabad.

A. Nirmala Kanthi Wesley, a 2016 batch IAS officer, assumes the position of Director of Women Child Development and Scheduled Caste (WCD&SC).

B. Gopi, also from the 2016 batch, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Fisheries, transitioning from his previous role as Director of Agriculture.

Hanumantha Rao, from the 2013 batch, will now serve as Special Commissioner of Information and Public Relations (I&Pr).

K. Ashok Reddy, a 2014 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Director of Horticulture.

G. Phaneendra Reddy, who belongs to the 1990 batch, has been appointed as Chief Rationing Officer of Hyderabad.
