Swapna Devireddy Appointed Deputy Secretary in Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation

Swapna Devireddy, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2010-batch, has been chosen for the role of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation. The decision, confirmed by an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on December 1, places her in this pivotal position under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS).


According to the order, Swapna Devireddy will serve in this capacity for a duration of four years, commencing from the date she takes charge or until further directives are issued, whichever event occurs earlier. This appointment follows her recommendation for central deputation by the Department of Revenue.

The order further states, “She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation.”
