
In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government made significant changes by transferring a total of 48 officers, including four Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 44 Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers. The move is aimed at realigning leadership in various key positions across the state.
Key appointments among the IAS officers include Nitesh Kumar Jain, who has been assigned as the new Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) for Sardulgarh, Simrandeep Singh as the Tarn Taran SDM, Aparna MB taking over as the Malerkotla SDM, and Akshita Gupta assuming the role of SBS Nagar SDM.
Among the PCS officers, Nayan has been appointed as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) in Muktsar, while Lovepreet Kalsi has been designated as the Additional Chief Administrator of the Bathinda Development Authority, alongside the role of ADC (Rural) for Bathinda. Amit Mahajan will serve as the Secretary for the Jalandhar Regional Transport Authority (RTA), in addition to his role as ADC (General) in Jalandhar. Varinderpal Singh Bajwa will hold the position of ADC (Rural Development) with additional responsibilities as ADC (General) in Tarn Taran. Navneet Kaur Bal will be the new Joint Commissioner of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, while Jashanpreet Kaur will serve as the Additional Chief Administrator of the Patiala Development Authority. Manjit Singh Cheema has been assigned the role of ADC (Rural Development) in Fazilka.

Furthermore, Poonam Singh will take charge as the Secretary for the Bathinda Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and also serve as ADC (General) in Bathinda. Kala Ram Kansal is set to become the SDM of Dhar Kalan, Jai Inder Singh as the Jalandhar-1 SDM, Gursimran Singh Dhillon as the Nakodar SDM, Harkirat Kaur Cheema as the Rupnagar SDM, and Ankur Mohindroo will assume the position of GMADA Estate Officer, among other appointments.
