In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced on Tuesday that Bhajan Lal Sharma will be the next Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Bhajan Lal Sharma emerged victorious in the recently concluded elections, securing the Sanganer assembly seat by defeating Congress’s Pushpendra Bhardwaj with an impressive margin of over 48,081 votes.

The proposal for Bhajan Lal Sharma’s candidacy as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan was put forward by BJP stalwart Vasundhara Raje, herself a contender for the top post. The announcement of Bhajan Lal Sharma as the Chief Minister was made by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

In his inaugural interaction with the media following his selection as Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the people associated with the BJP. He stated, “I would like to assure you that all the MLAs of Rajasthan will definitely meet the expectations that the people have with the BJP. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we will ensure holistic development of Rajasthan in all areas.”

Notably, several other prominent names, including Gajendra Shekhawat, Mahant Balaknath, Diya Kumari, Anita Bhadel, Manju Baghmar, and Arjun Ram Meghwal, were in contention for the Chief Ministerial post in Rajasthan. Furthermore, Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa have been appointed as Bhajan Lal Sharma’s two deputy Chief Ministers.
