Shri Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Excise & Taxation, Government of Rajasthan, emphasised the evolving landscape of contract laws and the need for a deep understanding of revenue and regulatory processes. He stated, “The major difference between the mental and social departments and revenue or regulatory departments is that our job becomes slightly tougher because we are dealing with statutes.”
Shri K. K. Pathak, Secretary Finance (Revenue) Department, Government of Rajasthan, highlighted the interdependence of revenue and the state’s economic prowess. He said, “Revenue and State are interlinked and both fulfill the needs of each other. Kautilya’s Arthashastra also highlights that the state’s sovereignty has more to do with its economic prowess than its political power.”

Dr. Ravi Gupta, Founder, CEO, and Editor-in-Chief of eGov magazine – Pvt Ltd, underlined the challenges faced by government organisations in revenue collection and management. He stated, “The challenge lies in finding ways to increase and maximise revenue, as well as in conducting thorough analyses to transform data into actionable information and knowledge.”
