In a significant administrative overhaul, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has undertaken the transfer of four eminent IAS officers, including the current UPPCL (Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited) chairman, M Devraj, belonging to the 1996 batch.
The reins of UPPCL have been entrusted to Ashish Kumar Goyal, a seasoned IAS officer from the 1995 batch, who has recently concluded a noteworthy tenure at the Central deputation.
Meanwhile, M Devraj, who had long been seeking a transfer, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary of the Technical Education Department. Furthermore, Kalpana Awasthi, the Principal Secretary of Technical Education and a distinguished 1990 batch IAS officer, has been gracefully reassigned as the Director General of UPAM.

In another development, Anil Sagar, a proficient IAS officer from the 1998 batch and currently serving as the Principal Secretary of Industrial Development, has been bestowed with the additional responsibility of IT and electronics.

On the other hand, Narendra Bhushan, the accomplished Principal Secretary of Industrial Development and a seasoned IAS officer from the 1992 batch, awaits further assignment.

In a separate move, the state government has approved the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) for Rigzian Sanfil, a 2003 batch IAS officer from the UP cadre. Having expressed his intention for voluntary retirement earlier, he is presently serving as the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi.
