Two dozen IAS officers transferred in Uttarakhand

In a major bureaucratic arrangement in the state, the Uttarakhand government led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday carried out the transfer of 24 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and one Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer. 

Vinay Shankar Pandey has been appointed as the Secretary to the Chief Minister as well as the MSME and Investment Commissioner, according to the official order. The District Magistrates of three districts, namely Haridwar, Nainital, and Almora, have been replaced.

As per the order, Dheeraj Singh Gabryal has been assigned the position of District Magistrate for Haridwar district. Ms Vandana has been designated as the District Magistrate of Nainital, and Vineet Tomar has been appointed as the District Magistrate of Almora.

In addition, Anand Vardhan, the Additional Chief Secretary, has been given the responsibility of Finance and Infrastructure Development Commissioner, taking over from Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu. RK Sudhanshu, on the other hand, has been assigned the role of Principal Secretary for Urban Development.

R Meenakshi Sundaram has been entrusted with the position of Secretary of Planning and will be in charge of Externally Aided Projects.

Furthermore, Arvind Singh Hyanki has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Drinking Water, and Sachin Kurve has been given the responsibility of Secretary for Civil Aviation.

Dr Pankaj Kumar Pandey has been assigned the role of Director General Mining and will also serve as the Secretary for Public Works.

Sandeep Tiwari has been named as the Managing Director of Kumaon Mandal Development, while PCS Arvind Kumar Pandey has been appointed as the Secretary of the Human Rights Commission.
