Apurva Chandra Takes Up Additional Charge of Secretary, MSME Ministry

The Government of India, through an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), has assigned the post of Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) to Apurva Chandra in an additional capacity.

As per the orders dated April 1, Chandra, the senior IAS officer of 1988-Batch, had assumed the post of Secretary, MSME on April 2. The DoPT, in its order, has clearly stated that he will hold the newly assigned charge of Secretary, MSME from April 2 to April 18 during the period of absence of Bidyut Bihari Swain (IAS 1988-Batch). At present, Apurva Chandra is holding the charge of Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
